Giving the gift of hope
I want to thank you extraordinary women for your generous and unexpected gift. I am filled with gratitude for your thougthfulness. I never have had such an amazing surprise from people I do not even know. Your gift came at the perfect time, reminding me that angels ARE all around me and how much God loves me. To the group of women known as 12 Ordinary Women that God sent on my path last week, I truly thank you with All my heart. I thank God for beautiful caring souls like you. Just when I think my world is crumbling, 12 wonderful Ordinary Women heard about my journey and crossed my path God Bless you all and I sincerely Thank you All. I am sorry about being so late on my response to you. God is so good. My sister Pastor Dorothy Whitfield always tell me" If you are going to pray don't worry and if you are going worry don't pray." I truly believe that. Faith does not have Doubt. You ladies are wonderful, special and angels. I love you all and I pray God bless you abundantly.

Sojourner is a nonprofit that serves victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. We are so grateful for this donation and all it will do to support the journey from fear to hope! Thank you!

Twelve ordinary women consists of hundreds, maybe thousands, of women whose hearts have been sparked by being able to give the gift of hope. The website however, is a whole different story...
You know the scene in The Wizard of Oz when they pull the curtain back on the massive Oz operation and there he is, the wizard, just a little guy frantically pushing buttons to keep it all working? Well our website is very much like that...if you pull the curtain back it’s just me, a middle aged woman frantically trying to keep up, to figure out what it means when I get a message to “remove my block and reinstall my list!” WHAT???? 🤯 Honestly sometimes I just throw my hands up and walk away, fingers crossed, praying it will just magically fix itself. So far....no dice, it isn’t fixed, I am completely vexed and you all haven’t heard any of the wonderful things that have happened in the past few weeks because women all over the country see another’s pain or need and have given them a gift of HOPE. I just want you to know that I am here, behind the curtain pushing buttons, reading trouble shooting FAQs, calling tech support, trying to get this website up and running like the great Oz that it can be.

In June of 2019 the most amazing lady showed up at my front door. What happened next left me speechless. It was one of the kindest surprises in my life. Words can't express how much it was appreciated, in fact I was in shock! I knew it was a God thing through Godly people. What ever the reason this gift was given to me, it was truly a direct blessing from God above. Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness!

I can't say THANK YOU enough. My heart was touched this afternoon. To be honest, as a resturant manager I have people asking for me what feels like every minute of every day. Whether it be staff, a rep, guest, friend of the owners etc. It didnt sink in until the ladies were long gone when I had opportunity to open the envelope. In my day to day I face obstacles and sometimes feel like I'm failing at whatever task that approaches. I was reminded that a friendly gesture just as simple as a smile can go a long way in anyone's day let alone the gift that was given means the world. Servant hearts are the best hearts! Thank you! I will definitely take the opportunity to pay it forward, smile and resurrect hope in another. 🙏❤
