4/28 Thank for hope

It was so sweet and kind ...whoever you are... to receive a lovely hope charm from you. I pray to never lose hope, God has always shone Himself to us. Thank you for letting God use you to offer encouragement, hope, and peace as we work toward restoring our home! May God bless you and protect you forever. Bettie

4/28 Just the right time

I just want to say thank you to the 12 Ordinary Women. It was crazy. I was down to $30 in the bank after the dr and there was a knock at the door with an envelope. I am blessed to have an angel watching over me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

4/28 Maddie and I are absolutely blown away by this kindness and generosity!

Maddie and I are absolutely blown away by this kindness and generosity! Last week had been a particularly tough week with everything going on and these gifts and notes on our doorstep gave us so much peace and hope! One thing we have come to realize in the midst of the obstacles we are facing is that God is ALL AROUND!! The more we lean into him, the more he shows us his love and comfort! I cannot thank you all enough for the impact you have made on myself and my daughter! It has been an extremely difficult few months and to see a smile on her face after receiving this package will never be forgotten! From the bottom of my heart, thank you! ❤️

4/27 The BEST gift I’ve ever received

I had just finished getting ready for work when my doorbell rang. Standing there were two masked women with a beautiful plant and a gift bag. They said, "Hi, Kathy. We wanted to give this to you." Sheepishly, I replied, "I am so sorry, but I don't recognize you with your masks. Can you please take them off?" The responded, "You don't know us. The cards inside will explain." Their eyes smiled at me and they left. I hurried inside to see who these women were and why were they giving me, a stranger, a present. It was then that I read 12 beautiful notes by "12 Ordinary Women". I was moved to tears. It was as if the notes answered the prayer I offered to God the night before. I felt like God was talking directly to me, telling me that things were going to be OK and that I had people, strangers no less, who were praying for me and my sick child. The last 4-5 years have been the most difficult of my life and often a very lonely road. To be embraced in such a way by strangers, with such a deep faith in God, felt like a huge hug from each and every one of those women. I quickly composed myself and ran off to work to tell everyone what an amazing gift of joy and hope was given to me. I will treasure those notes always and have put them in a special box to reread when I am struggling and need some support. The gifts they also gave, all with a garden theme and the amazing gift card to Bachman's, will remind me every time I look at my new plants of the kindness of strangers and the love God has for all of us. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

a knock on the door changed everything

I was sitting on my couch with my 10 year old son. The day had been particularly stressful and a knock on the door changed everything. I lovely lady introduced herself and informed me I had been nominated and this was something I deserved. I thought "me"? It was a beautiful candle and such a generous gift. I was just so surprised. It made my day and week. The next day was my birthday....and it made it wonderful.

Thank you !!!!!!!

4/17 A Minnesota thank for helping my friend!

One of my best girlfriends just received a gift and she is such a loving soul going through so much, she is the best mom I know (and a single mom with a son with many health issues), best friend you could ask for, and a Minneapolis Police Officer going through so much.  She is a single mom and had I known about this group, I would donate to all women.  It made her day!!!!  Thank you so much.  Please let me know how to get involved.  Her name is Mari Askerooth!  She is deserving and I love her beyond words.  I just want to thank you!

4/17 after the fire in franklin TN

When something horrible happens and then lots of good things come from it I call that a God Wink. Today a neighbor gave me a mysterious envelope after a long chat about some sadness of our current circumstances. I opened it in front of my neighbor and we both were amazed at the note of encouragement from 12 Ordinary Women. It lifted our spirits in that instant. Another God wink indeed!! Thank you!

4/22 Evansville Thank you

A few days ago I received a very special (and completely unexpected) surprise when I found a small gift bag hanging on the door knob of my front door. It was an extremely generous gift along with a lovely card, a heartfelt personal message to me, and a prayer. It was signed "12 Ordinary Women, Evansville Chapter." Completely anonymous. I had never heard of this organization. I don't know who started it or how long it has been in existence, but it was obviously inspired by a group of amazing Christian women! What an awesome way to share God's love by a group of selfless ladies. I was overwhelmed by this loving gesture. Since then, I have been searching for the right words to express my thanks and feelings after receiving this "extraordinary" gift, but I am still at a loss to find those words. The last five years have been such a struggle for our entire family after the loss of our oldest daughter and then 17 months later the loss of our youngest daughter. Losing our two daughters followed the death of my first grandson 14 years ago at the age of 8 months. It's been a rough few years to say the least. Whoever you are, God bless you! You brought sunshine into my day and as you said in your note, "put pep in my step!"
Your act of kindness and your caring hearts will never be forgotten. Thank you!
