An Awesome Morning

Today two very beautiful women came to my door at 9:00am. I was asleep at the time, having stayed up late job hunting and up earliey with the kids. When I opend the door I could see a basket and thought to myself " They must be at the wrong house." But then they were handing the basket to me. Who they were or why they were at my house was a mystery. I was blown away! How could this wonderful thing happen to me,
At that moment all I could think was these women are so beautiful...beautiful faces, beautiful hearts and beautiful souls.

I am still a little dazed at what had just happened and proceeded to cry for the next hour. Not believing that this wonderfullyl kind thing could have happened to me.

Thank You for the most extraordinary gift Thank You all.

a wonderful surprise!

What a wonderful surprise to arrive home after picking up the girls from school to find an amazingly beautiful flower arrangement, delicious cookies, a necklace and a wonderful book sitting in my kitchen! We can't thank you enough for your prayers and thoughtfulness during my husband's illness. Knowing so many were praying for us was a huge inspiration and made the dark days much brighter. Kevin is well on the road to recovery and we wanted to thank you for your thoughtful gifts. It certainly brightened our day and they are much appreciated! Sincerely, K M

Visited by three not so ordinary women...

Today was no ordinary day, as I was visited by three not so ordinary women bearing a gift. When questioned, their explanation was simply, “There’s a card inside that will explain.” They then disappeared as quickly as they arrived. Three months ago I was in a fire that burned my arms, face, and hands. My burns are healing and most people wouldn’t notice the scars that are left behind. It’s the emotional scars that linger that I try to hide the most. These three extraordinary women reminded me that God is always near and knows our struggles better than we know them ourselves. What a joy! Thank you so much for your gift. I will be sure to “pay it forward”.

Generosity and Kindness

I can't begin to express how surprised and thankful I am for your generosity and kindness! Your visit today caught me off guard. How I wish I would have had the composure to talk to the ladies who visited me. It's true that I've had a rough few months, but still I feel undeserving of your gift. I will, no doubt, enjoy the gift cards but I will also "pay it forward". I intend to wear the bamboo necklace as a reminder of this day as well as a reminder to help those around me...whether it be a kind word, monetary help, or a helping hand. Mostly, thank you for the glimpse of God during this season.

In sincere thanks,
M W

Your warmth is felt

Our family just recently lost our beloved father & youngest brother within a 26 hour period. Needless to say we are all stunned & working through the motions of 2 funerals back-to-back. We have worked through it on the faith, prayers & strength of others....one day at a time. Today as my husband left the house 3 angels appeared with a gift bag containing a warm, soft scarf, gift card for a warm cup of coffee & wonderful encouraging note letting me know others continue to hold us up. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will be reminded of you love & comfort each time I wrap the scarf around me. And I will thank God for placing this mission in you caring hands. May God bless you & keep you, may His face shine upon you & be gracious unto you.

I maybe in for a big surprise...

I was working one evening and a co-worker came and said there was a guest who wanted to speak to me. He said that she asked for me by name. When he told me who it was I wondered who it might be as I wasn't expecting anyone with that particular name. As I walked down the stairs and looked to the area where visitors stand when they enter the building, I saw a pretty lady with a warm smile looking at me. When I addressed her, she confirmed who I was and then handed me a card with my name on it. She said something but I was still a little bewildered. She turned and walked out the door and as I looked out the glass windows thought to myself that I might be in for a big surprise. I opened the card to find a beautiful and encouraging message of God's love and a very generous gift! I was stunned.....and just thanked God! He knows what we need when we need it. God knows my limitations and difficulties and needs. He provides for me in ways that I have trouble understanding. How can I be given so much? It is because of His superabundant love He so lavishes on His children. That woman and her friends are ordinary only in that they are redeemed images of God, like me, who are not worthy of God's mercy. Yet these precious sisters have lived their lives with gratitude toward the One who saved them and they are a testimony to the greatness of the Lord Jesus Christ.

"There's someone at the door!!"

My kids started yelling "There's someone at the door!" so I rolled off the couch, expecting to turn a solicitor away, but instead it was a lady that I didn't know, handing me a gorgeous, full basket and telling me that people were praying and thinking about me. Stunned, I went inside and looked through all the beautiful things that were given, all seemingly tailored just for me, with tears streaming down my face.
I don't know who I am thanking, other than God, who has so generously provided friends in my life who genuinely love and care for little ol' me.
So, whoever you are, thank you for letting God use you to brighten my dreary day. I know now that He was listening when I prayed fervently for Him to send His angels to minister to me in these dark hours.
Much love and gratitude,
Amanda

Are you a secret Santa or an angel?

I have no words to adequately describe how I felt when my doorbell rang and I answered the door to be greeted by the sweetest lady with the most contagious smile. She was holding one of the most beautiful baskets I had ever seen. Although I had never seen or met her before, she knew my name, and proceeded to hand me the basket full of very special gifts. I asked in sheer disbelief, "This is for me? Who is it from? Who ARE you? Are you a Secret Santa?"

I felt sure that she had the wrong address, yet she knew MY name. She told me that there was a card enclosed, and, yes, she was a Secret Santa. She left as quickly as she came. As I started to unwrap the contents of the basket, I realized that she was more than a Secret Santa; she was an Angel of God who came to visit me at a time when I needed it most.

This past year has been very tumultuous for me, emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. There were days when I did not know if I would live to see tomorrow, much less the end of the day. Altough I know that I have come a long way in a year, I am still struggling to find a sense of peace both inside and out.

When my Angel arrived, I had just experienced a situation that had me feeling very sad and lowly, and doubting everything. And it was at that very moment when it arrived...a gift to me sent straight from God.

Whoever you are, I want you to know, it feels really special to be loved and cared about by others.

You will never truly know how much your act of kindness has meant to me. I look forward to the days when I can bless others as you have blessed me.

My heartfelt blessing to all of you,
Love, Anne

Thanks is such a small word...

Thanks is such a small word to say when it comes to the overwhelming love and support shown to me and my family. I am a month past a terrible car accident and still not recovered nearly as much as I had hoped or planned. However, I am continuously humbled each and every day by the love and support of many friends as well as complete and total strangers. I don't know how 12 Ordinary Women found out about our situation or how we were chosen to be helped, but I can say that my family and I are so very appreciative and grateful. I thank each and every one of you from my heart.
Sincerely,
D G
