My name is Starr Phillips and I am a first-year teacher at Las Colinas Elementary School to the most beautiful second graders. On Friday, February 17th, one of your 12 ordinary women dropped off a present for me and my students. This random act of kindness gave my coworkers and me chills. You ladies are amazing!!! To know that there are people in this world who are giving such thoughtful gifts and going out of their way to make another person's day is extraordinary.
I want to thank you for your gift and for thinking of me. I will always remember how this act made me feel; you ladies are heroes in my eyes.
Have the most blessed lives!
Starr
"Way Over Due Thank You"
First of all let me say that this is way over due and for that I'm regretful and embarrassed. I simply couldn't remember the name of the website or find the paper that was handed to me that day back last fall with the very generous monetary gift in an envelope.
I was truly in shock and awe when this gentleman walks in the door and hands me this envelope and walks away. It literally resembled something Jesus would do. It came at the perfect time and I stood there in tears and thinking ; Who knew my rent was late, AGAIN? Who knew - my car had been repossessed? Who knew - my electricity had been turned off recently, Who knew- That I had NO idea how I was going to dream of doing Christmas for my 2 boys. WHO KNEW ??? (the list goes on).....
I had never had that much cash in my hands even. My money has always been paycheck to paycheck, straight to the bank to pay bills and pray til' the next one came, for the most part. Sure I'd make choices and do for myself or go "out to dinner" instead of cooking at home every now and then, but NOT often in the past 2 years especially.
SO, where I'm merely a child of the King and saved by his grace and mercy... I found myself in AWE that there truly are people who care and love... and actually "GET IT"!
THANK YOU.,.. to whomever these ladies or men and women were. Thank you for loving me and my boys. Thank you for being there when no one else seemed to be.
From the bottom of my heart. THANK YOU!!!
It's my prayer God continues to bless this mission and the good folks that run it. I'd love one day to be able to "give back" like this. I'm still in NO position to be able to now, but some day. And I'm going to hang on to this paper, it's placed my bible now. May God bless each one of you...

Sincerely,

I don't deserve this!!!
Thank you for all of the wonderful gifts you have given to me!! Wow! As I was opening each item I started to cry harder and harder...like, I don't deserve this! Who is this?! I opened your 12 Ordinary Women card and this just blew me away! People who rally together to give a person everything they could ever hope for all wrapped up in a basket!!
I just had my first of 4 complimentary house cleanings today...AND I AM A CLEANING LADY MYSELF! Retired of course due to cancer treatment but there is no way I could ever give this to myself...I have 2 kids and no money. I don't know how I ended up being blessed by your outpouring of love...but THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! God bless all of you!<3 Tanya

I thought you were here to visit with chamber members but you were here for me!
Today during a chamber ambassador visit I was approached by a woman with a bouquet of flowers and a card containing a gift card for wellness services though didn't have a chance to see what the gift was until after our open house was over. Needless to say it brought tears to my eyes and a sense of wonder to my heart. I love surprises and it's making me crazy that I don't know who to thank. I only know I want to forward the kindness given to me today and feel so honored to be thought of in this way....and to think I thought this gal was there to visit with other chamber members:-)
Doorstop gift.
Thank you all for the gift on our doorstep. God bless you for making our day a little brighter through your kindness. Alexis
We weren't strangers anymore, we were friends.
I was a little skeptical when I got the first call from Faith. Her her voice was kind and caring, though, so I set a time and place to meet. Then things got worse and worse in my family and I had to keep postponing the meeting. But every time we talked, she was supportive and encouraging, sympathetic and calm. Finally, finally today after, weeks of trying, we got to meet. And we weren't strangers any more - we were friends. I had already felt such care and compassion from her, The gift itself was overwhelming and so needed, and the bonus - getting to meet and visit with Faith in person, was a total God deal. I am grateful beyond words for the kindness and support offered to me and my family at a time when there is such sadness and grief in our lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And God bless you, dear exrordinary women -
Flowers and Candy brightened my day
Thank you so very much. My surprise delivery tonight of flowers and candy was completely unexpected, yet wonderful. The flowers are beautiful and the candies are tasty. I have felt alone for so very long. These flowers will remind me that in addition to God, there are folks out there who care.
I know that God is with me during this difficult time, but knowing that others care makes this part of the journey a little lighter, too. So, thank you very much for putting a warmth into my heart that has been missing for a long time.
God bless you and your organization.
Pam

I am 1 ordinary woman!
This message came to the website this morning from another Ordinary Woman. 😍
I am 1 ordinary woman! Let me just say that I am humbled each and every month by the ladies who meet to lift up our community of women. You are my role models: you possess an abundance of love, inspiration, faith and kindness. It is truly a gift to be a part of this group!
To all of the 12 ordinary women: thank you for what you do and for what you stand for. You are the backbone of the community, the champion of all women! Your voice may be silent, but your message is loud and clear: Women matter. Kindness matters.
To all of the recipients: make no doubt, there is something extraordinary about you! We care about you and we pray for you. We continue to lift you up.
With love,
1 ordinary woman
