7/1. Thank you! It was a very kind gesture.

My wife passed away a few monthes ago and it has been very difficult. Just before Mothers Day we received a gift card from a local restaurant and a card from 12 ordinary women. I just want to say...... Thank you! It was a very kind gesture. My son and I appreciate it very much. Ken

6/27 Your gifts helped me take care of my wife...

My wife Sue was at home in hospice care after her second fight with cancer she was with pain unable to get out of the bed for 2 months one day some ladies came to my door with flowers a gift wrapped lilac microwaveable blanket that helped keep her warm when she got the chills and Hyvee grocery gift cards these gifts helped me take care of her even as we had our 47th anniversary, she is in heaven now and even though I am not good on the computer I had to write and thank you for making her last days brighter. God bless you Bob

6/27 May you be as blessed as you bless others.

Dear 12 "Extra" Ordinary Women,
I was so overwhelmed by your kindness last Monday. Two women came and blessed me with a bouquet of balloons, a devotional, a cute little pin cushion (it is adorable), and several very generous gift cards. It was such a blessing to me. These past five years have been hard and sometimes very difficult, but God has shown me through people like you that He is in control and cares about our every need. The timing of this gift was Heaven sent. I recently had a liver ablation on two malignant tumors and a few days after that my son and his wife gave birth to twins (at 27 weeks). So between healing and supporting our son and his wife, it has been draining. Thank you again for your kindness and thoughtfulness. May you be as blessed as you bless others. Lynne

6/26 humble tears

Humble tears. Not sure how else to describe my gratitude as receiving this gift today sinks in. I have no idea who or why, but please know that it came on a day when I am really struggling with a few recent events. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and kindness. Prayers answered and hope restored. It is amazing how a random act of kindness can change everything. Debbie

6/22 Thank you for you donation to Taylor Hayden Memorial Fund to End Gun Violence

My family and I are extremely grateful to your organization for the very generous monetary gift and the beautiful plant to the Taylor Hayden Memorial Fund to End Gun Violence! This journey has been exceptionally difficult for all of us. We fight daily to put one foot in front of the other and we're able to do it with the prayers of wonderful people like all of you. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we try to navigate through this awful experience. When you came with the flowers and money I was in Houston, where Taylor was living, going through her personal belongings and clearing them out to friends, family and donations. That was a very tough job but I know many people, such as 12 Ordinary Women have us in their prayers and that got me through. As your card indicated, this time of year is difficult. We are approaching the 1year mark of that tragic day and we're not looking forward to it. Again, thank you for thinking of us! The Hayden Family

6/3 Then I realized that I too am an ordinary woman...

Today I was blessed with a visit from an "ordinary woman". I was surprised, stunned, shocked, grateful, and every other emotions one can feel. I burst into tears, as this "ordinary woman" gave me a beautiful hanging geranium plant. She was so kind, and gave me hugs (I think I gave her more!). When she left I discovered the inspirational bible messages among the geraniums, along with several gift cards, food, daily devotion book, and a prayer shawl. At first I didn't realize what I did to deserve such gratitude. Then I realized that I too am an ordinary woman, that someone wanted to brighten my day. I am forever changed by this generous act of kindness.

6/2 I was confused and open the envelop...

Thank you so much. A very nice lady stopped at my work and handed me a envelope and said i was nominated to receive a gift from 12 ordinary women. I was confused and open the envelope to a very nice gift. After a really hard couple of years things were getting a little better and 2 weeks ago my grandson the light of my life who is 12 was diagnosed with cancer. When I seen what the gift was. I went into the bathroom. And cried my eyes out. I have never been so touched by a gift in my life. Thank you so much. Mary
