I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in mid-March. What quickly followed was a 9 1/2 hour surgery, a short recovery, and now I'm in the midst of chemo. It is a very difficult time. Today my mom opened the front door and a kind woman who would not identify herself handed her a gift for me. The gift was so thoughtful! It included a super-soft cardigan, some "happy face" slippers, cookies, flowers, and a plaque that says, "She is clothed with strength and dignity, She laughs without fear of the future." Also included were 12 separate notecards with personal messages, each signed "One Ordinary Woman." As I opened and read each card I cried and cried and cried. Several of them said, "you are not alone." I needed to hear that because right now I'm battling feeling alone. I would like to thank all of these 12 ordinary women who gave me this gift of love. You were the hands of feet of Jesus to me today. I will probably never know who you are, but I want you to know I am grateful for you and thank you for walking this hard road with me and for praying for me during this time. You are sweet. You are dear. What you have done for me means a lot. May God bless you greatly for loving a hurting sister in Christ

Losing our sweet granddaughter Lainey Mae has been the hardest thing we have ever had to endure. What helps make it a little more bearable is the kindness of people like you. Our faith has always sustained us and will continue through the grieving her unexpected death. However getting reminders that God is good and works through people like 12 ordinary women shows us that we are nor forgotten or alone in this storm. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the books and the necklace you sent us.

Thank you to the 12 Ordinary Women who stopped by our house today to drop off a gift to help us with the battle we have been facing with both my parents cancer. We had a rough weekend on top of it so this was even more meaningful in ways we could never explain. You women and this group are amazing, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Though the past 11 months have been filled with hardship it has also shown me tremendous love and support in many forms. Feeling kind of down today, the doorbell rang and a nice woman handed me a card and told me what it was about. She and I shared a smile and she told me all of those people continue to pray for our family. What a special gift of love. I’m still reeling from my husbands death and I see God’s love and grace all around me. Thank you Jesus and 12 ordinary women!

My husband and I were the recipients of your thoughtfulness yesterday. The succulent and orchid arrangement was so unique and beautiful. In a world full of chaos and most recently the unexpected loss of our daughter, our hearts were filled with gratitude for your very kind gesture of hope. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and God bless all of you.

I cannot express how much the beautiful gift basket means to me. It is obvious some one in your group knows me well. The reminder that I am not fighting this battle alone, and knowing that there are other people out there praying for my son along with me is just SO SO uplifting. May God bless you all abundantly. Thank you so much for your loving act of kindness.

Today I arrived at work like every Thursday evening and there was a gift that was delivered that morning for me. As I read the letter that was enclosed my eyes swelled up. It's was like God had sent a message to me that I am on the right path. This past year I found myself crawling out of a darkness that not many understand. However, there have been angels with me the whole time and today confirmed this. I want to say thank you to these ordinary women cause somedays I feel like life just keeps throwing curve balls and it's all I got to stand back up, however, God's grace gets me back up everytime. This gift today's reminded me of why I get back up. Thank you so very much. I will pay it forward by helping more women like myself and giving them hope like you all gave me today. Much love
