We just wanted you to know that we used your gift this past weekend. Our teenage son, Sam, died from brain cancer on January 2, 2013 and you visited us in March and gave us the wonderful gift of a weekend stay at West Baden along with a very generous gift card. Knowing the holiday season was going to be a difficult time, especially with all of the "last year at this time" memories, we saved the gift. We spent Friday and Saturday night after Thanksgiving Day at the resort. We spent a lot of time outdoors walking in the beautiful fall weather thinking about God's beauty and your heartfelt gift. The Evansville Indiana chapter came by my house and gave me a gift card to Target. The help at Christmas time is more helpful than they could ever have dreamed. I have tried to maintain a brave face and strong shoulders as I have journeyed through cancer treatment, but to be very honest I have grown very tired and weary. I am not one to ask for help, but I have really been struggling to remain independent while having limitations from treatment and procedures. I actually reached out to a local agency just days before this contact and received no reply. God answers prayers!
This gift was used toward Santa presents for both my girls! It is very important to me to keep our house as status quo as possible through all of this, but as you can imagine some days it has been very difficult.
Thank you to the Evansville 12 EXTRA Ordinary women that have touched my heart and blessed a 5 and 7 year old with a Merry Christmas! I can not thank you all enough for your kindness.

Thank you so much for the beautiful angel necklace, words of encouragement, and the target gift card. It came at a time when I was feeling down and it lifted me up and gave me hope again. I have been struggeling in health and therefore financially my faith is huge and recently became baptized . I can't begin to explain the gratitude I have this day and every day to the Lord for I know there are lessons in all and blessings. I cherish the moment i looked into the eyes of this lady at my door.I rent a furnished rm and knew at first sight this lady before me was someone kind...I do not have mere words to express my heart yes for the gift but for her kindness. This gift generous beyond what I could understand I am graciously moved.
To these ladies moved by God to come forth is an incredible testimony of the will and love of God and his
answering of prayers...Please I thank you with a full heart and spirit...this moment I will treasure and share with many always.

I returned from lunch to find gifts of HOPE!
I just returned from lunch to find many gifts of hope and encouragement on my desk. In fact, the little angel already hangs around my neck! You cannot imagine the overwhelming feeling of gratitude that surrounds me. As I write, tears are welling in my eyes. To think that some people whom I do not know have chosen to share with me in this way has truly touched my heart. Thank you does not seem sufficient, yet I am at a loss of what else to say. Just know that you have changed my life this very day by your beautiful gesture!
