Earth Angels

I just received a large basket of presents and a beautiful pot. I am so overwhelmed that I'm shaking. I am so honored and deeply touched by this unbelievable act of kindness as my husband and I go through this devastating chapter of our lives. The last 3 years have been almost unbearable. It is the kindness of people like you that help get you through these nightmares. It is especially trying now and you generosity has really lifted my spirits and made me feel like I'm not alone in this. When I stop shaking from be so overwhelmed, I plan to enjoy each and every gift. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and would love to hug each and everyone of you. What a difference you have made in our struggle. You are truly Earth Angels and amazing women. I love you all and what you are doing for everyone.

Overwhelmed!

I just received a basket of unbelievable gifts and a beautiful pot. I am so overwhelmed I'm shaking! In my shocked state of mind after receiving this extraordinary gift, I feel so touched and honored and loved! Thank you from the bottom of my heart and every other part of me. I wish I could hug each and everyone of you. When the shaking is over, I plan to play in all the lovely gifts. Your thoughtfulness really makes a big difference. Thank you again!
You are not ordinary women, you are extra, extra ordinary!

Big Blessing and Surprise

I am a recipient of your gift! I heard a knock at my front door yesterday and two women handed me a pink envelope with my first name hand written on the front. They said "12 Ordinary Women" are praying for you. They handed me the envelope and walked away.

I opened the envelope while I was on the phone with my daughter Sarah who is recovering from Stage 3 Cervical/Ovarian cancer. I am a 3 year Breast Cancer Survivor. I was diagnosed in January 2010 and she was diagnosed in February of this year. I have spent my Spring and most of my Summer traveling between here and in Texas taking care of her.
I was the primary care giver for my two grandsons that lived with me up until having to leave to go to Texas and losing my income as that care givert. I had been contemplating what I was going to do to make up the income loss and with our youngest daughter that lived with us helping with rent, etc. moving out in June - I know I need to go back to work however, the Spring and Summer have taken a big toll on me mentally, physically and emotionally and the Journey with Sarah is still going on.
I know that God is in control and your gift SPOKE volumes to me. I don't know if you are a ministry of a church here locally or "just 12 Ordinary Women" however, you have touched a place in my heart like no other ministry has. I have been blessed beyond measure.
The necklace is beautiful and your gift of financial help came at a time when we needed it most. Like I said, God is still in control and on His throne. He has used "12 Ordinary Women" in a Mighty Way. Please continue to pray for our family, our girls - Sarah's sister's Natalie and Carolyn, Sarah's girls Emily 14 and Rowan 9. My husband Nick - who works hard at Christ Community Church.
What I loved most about your gift was the note of encouragement inside - "You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." Wow and Wow!
Thank you - to my new found friends!
Always,
BL

Your gift was confirmation to continue this path of healing

I am stunned and amazed how your incredible gift came to me, and enabled me to go to WV and be with my mother over her birthday the week of June 23. Words cannot begin to express my gratitude. Most importantly, it was confirmation to me to continue on this path of hopeful healing for my mom and me....even though others in my immediate family may not be able to do that right now, or be able to encourage me along that path. Broken relationship started with my dad years ago, but I felt compelled to go see him in a nursing facility in MD. The word I took with me at that time was "Grace", and left with him a key and "faceplate" with the word engraved on it. He passed away less than one year later. On the way to WV I felt strongly that, even though I had not removed that lovely "hope" necklace since receiving it from you all, I was to leave it with my mother, if she would receive it. She accepted, and I placed it around her neck. I also left the note with her. My momma had a stroke a year and a half ago. My prayer for her is that she will know the peace that comes in realizing that God continues the good work He has started in us, even when life seems obscured with painful and confusing clouds. Thank you again for the work you do, and for extending your hope, Grace, and love to my mother and me. Tons of hugs......

Thank you my mom really deserves this!

Hello my name is Megan and you gave my mom a bracelet and a book and a 300 dollar gift card for gas and Walmart and it was amazing I mean A FREAKING WALMART CARD WORTH 300? Thanks so much. I think my mom deserves it she works sooo hard and takes care of 4 bratty kids (including me). Mom says you're a miracle I say you're angels sent for her you're the best thanks again god bless you forever.

Thanks for the best week at camp!

A few weeks ago I was given an anonymous donation to attend a Young life camp in North Carolina. I had been saving up money to go to this camp for a while, but due to my financial situation at the time I was unable to pay the required amount. My young life leader, Tim told me that an anonymous donation was given for someone to go to camp, and that he chose me! Thanks to the donation given by the 12 ordinary woman organization I was able to have one of the best weeks of my life. I was able to have A LOT of fun, meet new people, and most significantly further more relationship with God. I am very grateful for this opportunity; thank you very much.

Orlando thank you!

I am so grateful for your generous gift which allowed us to take my friend Darius to Young Life camp this past week. He really wanted to go but his family could not afford to help him out. So he socked away all of the money he earned from work but at the last minute his car broke down and he had to use his "camp" money for repairs. Darius texted me to tell me the situation and I told him if he still wanted to go, we'd find a way to help him out. Less than a week later, this anonymous gift showed up from a group of ladies in our area with a note that said to use the money inside to help send someone to camp. I immediately knew who this gift was meant for...Darius! Because of your quiet generosity, this young man had one of the best weeks of his life. He experienced Jesus in a whole new way and I'm convinced he will never be the same. May you be blessed as you bless others!

Your gift encouraged me to trust more

Thank you so much for the sweet gift. It was so unexpected but my family and I truly appreciate it. Thank you for thinking of us and keeping us in your prayers. God only gives you what you can handle and what will make you stronger and I try to remember that everyday. Your gift helped to encourage me to continue to trust in him.

Thank you so much!!

Thank you all the way from California to the 12 Ordinary women's group in Evansville, IN

When I opened my small surprise package today, I felt like I unwrapped a huge hug. As I read the card, I felt comforted and blessed in so many ways.
Mourning my boyfriend has been a roller coaster, and at times, a lonely process. This surprise package was definitely a fresh breath of air and an awakening experience. I felt understood as a woman who loves deep from within and I felt synchronized, one with the sender.
I read daily meditations to help with my process and today's entry reads:
"We all live with the objective of being happy; our lives are all different and yet the same." -Anne Frank.
It goes on to further explain how we all are part of this big orchestra that includes a conductor who reads the music and helps with direction and movement. Synchronization not only sounds right but feels right. A happiness that can be shared and felt by all those who participate. We all have to play our part but when combined as a whole, this wondrous gift can be felt by others on so many levels. Our combined prayers and strengths posses endless possibilities.
This has been such an inspirational gesture of love. I first learned about the group today and I am delighted that it exists! What a great way to reach out to others. I am truly honored.
I mean it from the bottom of my heart. I shall cherish what has been provided to me. I feel more synchronized with not just your group but with those loving souls that continue to provide me moral support. This inspires me to continue on working through the heavy moments in my life. Giving thanks along the way and giving back most importantly. Sharing the me that is living with the memory of my loved one.
In remembrance of Dan Clint Hayden Jr. May his family and loved ones continue to be blessed with the love that life has endlessly provided us with. May we never forget that his love continues to live on forever in us and through us. I dedicate this to his loving mother, Brenda Sue Bowley Egan, who has taught me courage and strengths that I continue to learn from every chance I can. From Indiana to California we keep the support and love alive.
My love to you all
Amen
-D
