I didn't know what to think

Thank you so much for the sweet card and the very generous gift card. I wasn't sure what to think when I was given the gift bag at my front door. Reading the note brought me to tears and I was, once again, reminded of God's sweet provision of community. What would we do without each other? Thank you for your prayers, your care, and your encouragement to me and my family. I will never forget this. I have put my keys on the angel key ring in the gift bag as a reminder that He will never leave us or forsake us. You have made our burden lighter. Thank you! Oh and, I look forward to relaxing at the spa!

Love to you all!
June

Minnesota thank you

I don't have the words to thank you for the generous gifts I received this afternoon. I was so surprised to come to the door to greet 2 complete strangers bearing beautifully wrapped gifts and telling me that God loves me. I sat here crying as I opened the multiple gifts contained in the baskets. Every last item was so thoughtful and so perfectly suited to me. It was one more reminder how very blessed I am. I don't know who initiated these gifts, or who participated in this amazing surprise, but please know that I am thankful beyond words for you. God bless you.

Windermere, FL thank you

I live in Windermere, Florida and I want to thank "Hope for today" for the generous gift that I received just before Christmas. The knowledge that a group of women was praying for me while I was walking through the valley was so encouraging! God answered those prayers among many others! He gave my husband a new heart and he is now walking with the Lord! We are renewing our vows for our 25th anniversary in June! Last week my mom and my sister came to town and we went to the Ritz and relaxed there all day! What a wonderful gift!

How did you know we had lost our son?!?

I heard the peck-peck-pecking of birds just outside my front door. It is mating season, and the birds see their own reflection in the brass kick plate and think it could be their mate’s reflection. When I opened the door to “shoo” the birds away, I saw a lovely package on my doorstep. I could find no tag identifying the name of the one who had brought the package, but once inside, I opened the bag to find two gifts: “ a tree, a prayer” figurine (Willow Tree) and also a beautiful Sarah Young book entitled Jesus Today: Experience HOPE through His Presence. And then I found the card with a note to me, personally, that said, “We just wanted you to know that you are loved and are in our hearts and prayers.” It was from 12 Ordinary Women.

Now, I can tell you for sure that these are not 12 Ordinary Women. They are indeed 12 EXTRAORDINARY Women! What a lovely gesture. But how did they know that we had lost our son three weeks ago , dying unexpectedly of a massive heart attack at age 51? How did they know that we are brokenhearted and empty inside? They must have known that we wanted to take his place; after all, we, his parents, are 78 and 82 years old and have already lived a long life when he had just begun his. After all, we were supposed to go first.

They knew because they are Angels and they came to comfort us. Hope does shine brightest when one’s world is darkest.

Thank you for your kindness. We will not forget it.

Anne

Thank you for the blessings.

I would like to say thank you for the blessings you have provided to me and my household. I am beyond words to describe what this will help with. Thanks for the passage book. I was just looking at my supervisors the other day and thought about getting one. Thank again and may god bless all of you.

Thank you for making my month easier

So I have been struggling a little more lately. I work with my father, we do detail cleaning, work has been slow. This week we had a huge 50,000sq. foot house.. I was walking to my mailbox after work. Knowing that some bill was going to be in there. Nope, a little envelope all by itsself.. A beautiful note and a gift card. Some wonderful people who thought my family was worth some help. Im not sure who did this for me, but I so very much appreciated it. Alot of help... Thank you to who ever you are, you made my month a little easier for me. .. 🙏

Completely unexpected and much appreciated

Thank you 12 Ordinary Women for the lovely surprises I received this past week from your organization. It was completely unexpected and much appreciated. Life will not be the same for our household since Ian passed in December. There is a huge void that is hard to fill since our bubbly red head gained his angel wings after fighting cancer since 2009. Of course life keeps going when it would be nice for it to slow down, which means going back to work and starting a new "normal." There are many days that seem so long even with family and friends there for support but then little things like your wonderful group appear unexpectedly that help bring a smile. Thank you all so very much!

I had never heard of 12OW before. Nashville thank you

I had never heard of 12 Ordinary Women. One afternoon someone knocks on my front door. My sister, Tiffany, and I answer the door and we're handed an envelope. The nice young lady says, "You've just been blessed by 12 Ordinary Women." Inside the envelope was another envelope for Tiffany, which contained a nice Hope necklace, and another nice tree of life Hope necklace with a nice sum of cash. Needless to say this was totally unexpected.

Thank you for bringing some sunshine to our dreary February weather and blessing us with such a generous gift. May God bless each of you and those you are reaching. I'm not sure how you got my name, and I doubt that I'll ever know, but God continues to amaze me through His use of my friends and strangers to remind me of His love and care for me on a very personal level.

Blessings to you all.
