On behalf of The Arc of Evansville, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your generous donation of $100 and four spools of paper that can be used for art activities. Your thoughtful letter brought tears to my eyes as I read it. We have wonderful and dedicated staff that work hard each and every day, and it is great that groups like yours recognize this. I want our staff members to know how much their work is appreciated by our community. Because of this, I felt compelled to share your letter with our entire team at The Arc of Evansville so they could be reminded how important and appreciated their efforts are by community members like you. Thank you for your support of The Arc of Evansville and the children and adults that we serve. With the support of donors like you, The Arc of Evansville can empower individuals with disabilities to build relationships, gain independence and achieve their full potential.
7/11 I don't know who you are, or how you heard about my story, but thank you for blessing me...
I don't know who you are, or how you heard about my story, but thank you for blessing me... it came on time and at the right time. How can I be apart of this amazing group of ordinary women? Jeany
7/11 Thank you for the grant
We wanted to send you this e-mail to say again thank you for the grant that you blessed our family with. We are very grateful and very appreciative of what you have done for us. Not only did we need this for transportation, but a blessing knowing that after we get on our feet and leave here we will have a secure way of knowing we can get Faith back and forth to her appointments.
Thank you all so very much,
Love,
Christina, Darrick, A'mari, Faith, Mercedez, Alexis
7/3 Unending BLESSINGS with a 5 month walk in NICU
Our son Zacchaeus is 5 months old and is in his 3rd hospital as we wait for his lungs to grow and mature. Recently, I received an amazing set of gift cards from you. I wish I knew exactly who to thank, but know I probably never will. The gift cards were a tremendous blessing! The gift cards hit many areas of needs in our life: Starbucks - living off caffeine, dinner - the importance of investing in our marriage despite this journey, & ice cream - a good way to spend time with our other kids. Thank you so much for blessing our family. Your generosity, as well as the generosity of many others, has taught us how important it is to give to others in need. It means so much to us.
7/1. Thank you! It was a very kind gesture.
My wife passed away a few monthes ago and it has been very difficult. Just before Mothers Day we received a gift card from a local restaurant and a card from 12 ordinary women. I just want to say...... Thank you! It was a very kind gesture. My son and I appreciate it very much. Ken
6/27 Your gifts helped me take care of my wife...
My wife Sue was at home in hospice care after her second fight with cancer she was with pain unable to get out of the bed for 2 months one day some ladies came to my door with flowers a gift wrapped lilac microwaveable blanket that helped keep her warm when she got the chills and Hyvee grocery gift cards these gifts helped me take care of her even as we had our 47th anniversary, she is in heaven now and even though I am not good on the computer I had to write and thank you for making her last days brighter. God bless you Bob
6/27 May you be as blessed as you bless others.
Dear 12 "Extra" Ordinary Women,
I was so overwhelmed by your kindness last Monday. Two women came and blessed me with a bouquet of balloons, a devotional, a cute little pin cushion (it is adorable), and several very generous gift cards. It was such a blessing to me. These past five years have been hard and sometimes very difficult, but God has shown me through people like you that He is in control and cares about our every need. The timing of this gift was Heaven sent. I recently had a liver ablation on two malignant tumors and a few days after that my son and his wife gave birth to twins (at 27 weeks). So between healing and supporting our son and his wife, it has been draining. Thank you again for your kindness and thoughtfulness. May you be as blessed as you bless others. Lynne
6/26 humble tears
Humble tears. Not sure how else to describe my gratitude as receiving this gift today sinks in. I have no idea who or why, but please know that it came on a day when I am really struggling with a few recent events. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and kindness. Prayers answered and hope restored. It is amazing how a random act of kindness can change everything. Debbie
6/22 Thank you for you donation to Taylor Hayden Memorial Fund to End Gun Violence
My family and I are extremely grateful to your organization for the very generous monetary gift and the beautiful plant to the Taylor Hayden Memorial Fund to End Gun Violence! This journey has been exceptionally difficult for all of us. We fight daily to put one foot in front of the other and we're able to do it with the prayers of wonderful people like all of you. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we try to navigate through this awful experience. When you came with the flowers and money I was in Houston, where Taylor was living, going through her personal belongings and clearing them out to friends, family and donations. That was a very tough job but I know many people, such as 12 Ordinary Women have us in their prayers and that got me through. As your card indicated, this time of year is difficult. We are approaching the 1year mark of that tragic day and we're not looking forward to it. Again, thank you for thinking of us! The Hayden Family
6/17 ...the sweetest gift from this group of people who we do not even know...
I received the sweetest gift from this group of people who we do not even know. Thank you so much! It made my heart smile knowing there are people out there who are willing to do something so nice for a stranger. Please know your gift is very much appreciated along with your prayers!
