Dear ladies of the Evansville, IN chapter

I wanted to extend my sincere thanks for the beautiful note and gift left at my door Wednesday evening. After a very challenging and physically draining physical therapy session for the MS I have suffered with for many years, I was not able to answer the door when these special ladies came by to see me. They had phoned and mentioned they wanted to see me and had something to give me. Even though I had never heard of 12 Ordinary Women, I explained that I was not able to get to the door and could they please just leave it for me.

Your timing could not have been more perfect. I was feeling completely exhausted and depressed that I was unable to do what I wanted that evening, which was to be with my husband supporting my son at his track meet. When my husband retrieved the envelope you had left for me, I cannot begin to express how your kindness uplifted my spirits! You truly touched my heart, and I am so very grateful for your thoughts and prayers! You are all blessings from God.

North Carolina Thank You!

I am so grateful. I have been sick for sometime now and it has been hard to keep working but I have. I am so blessed to receive such a wonderful flower, bracelet, and gift card. The medical bills have been overwhelming for our family. I plan to do our grocery shopping with the money. I will have my four hour IVIG infusion on Monday and will wear my bracelet to my appointment. I plan on wearing it to each monthly appointment. It is so peaceful to me now I have others praying for me. I know I will never be able to know who you all are but I want each of you to know that I will read your card when I feel overwhelmed. I will also have my husband plant the flower in the front so as I leave and come home I can be reminded of your love you have shared with me. It is so hard to be sick and have two children. I just want to be a good mom, wife, and employee, daughter to my parents. Words cannot explain what I feel in my heart for your kindness you have shown to me. Thank you

Today I was blessed and surprised by "12 Ordinary Women" group who gave me all kinds of home cooked meals, groceries, gift cards even dog treats! I feel really humble that they chose me to share their christian love. I am very grateful to you ladies, who ever you are. May the Lord bless you many times more!

Today Grace came to visit me in Orlando

In Orlando/Winter Park: Today your Grace came to visit me. Your Grace and arms of 12 kept me afloat this afternoon ...an early rain storm allowed me to leave work to physically pack & clean out our home. I was unprepared for the harder work which was walking into our loss, seeing it, feeling it and embracing our Savior in it. I know it had to be done but only by God's hand in the weather would I have left work early and with me was your much needed Grace. Thank you for being His Grace tangibly with arms and finances to hold me and tell me, "I am not alone; Jesus is with me".

Thank you for extending much needed Grace to I and our children today.
With all my heart,
A R

Thank you so much for blessing me!

I have just received a visit and prayer from Cheryl from the Nashville Area chapter of Ordinary Women. Thank you so much for blessing me! I have had a series of challenges over the past several years, not the least of which is making ends meet. Your gift, your blessing serves to help me meet my bills, have food to eat, and continue to search for a career position. I cannot thank you women enough but I pray that God Blesses each of you and Ordinary Women. You are examples of God's Love! Thank You!

He really was a perfect son...

I live in Newburgh, Indiana and received a visit from 3 wonderful women that I did not know on Tuesday evening. On January 2 my 19 year old son, Sam Featherstone, died after battling brain cancer for over 3 years. To say the last 2 months have been dififcult would be a major understatement. He never leaves my mind. Unfortunately the thoughts that dominate my mind right now are of his decline in the final 2 months of his life. He became paralyzed and then slowly lost the ability to see, speak, and swallow. He wasted away before my eyes.

I know everyone thinks they have the perfect kid, but I really did have the perfect son. He was always a straight A student and well liked by everyone. He was so thankful for his family and always thanked us when we did the smallest thing for him. Despite missing a lot of school during his treatments, he still managed to graduate on time as a valedictorian. He received a full scholarship to college and had already been pre-admitted to Indiana University's School of Medicine. When he learned in October that his cancer had returned, he knew he was not going to be able to help cure cancer as a doctor so he dedicated the final 2 months of his life to raising awareness and money for pediatric brain cancer research.

I miss Sam so much it hurts. I just have an ache in my heart. I was having a bad day on Tuesday so the ladies picked the perfect day to come over and deliver a gift of a weekend at West Baden and French Lick Resort. We have not been to French Lick for over 10 years so it will make for a very pleasant get away. It will be good to just getaway and hopefully find some peace for a short time.

I was so moved by the annonymous nature of the gift from 12 Ordinary Women. You truly are giving for the true joy of helping others without any thought of being recognized.

Thank you for thinking of us and helping me through this rough time.

Gratefully,
Tammy

I sat looking at the snowflakes...

HELLO-THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR GENEROUS, CARING GESTURE! I WAS SO SURPRISED WHEN SOMEONE WALKED INTO THE BLACKLION WHERE I WORK ON THE WEEKENDS WITH THE BEAUTIFUL GIFTBAG FOR ME. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I APPRECIATED RECEIVING THE TRADER JOE'S GIFT CARD ALONG WITH THE PRETTY BRACELET AND ANGEL NOTECARD. YOUR TIMING WAS IMPECCABLE, AS I WAS PLANNING ON SHOPPING THERE RIGHT AFTER WORK. I WENT BACK AGAIN SATURDAY AND FINISHED OFF THE CARD. YOUR KINDNESS TRULY TOUCHED ME AND WHEN I SHOWED EVERYTHING TO CHRISTOPHER THE NEXT DAY, HE EVEN GOT TEARY-EYED. I NEVER IMAGINED THAT I WOULD BE IN THIS SITUATION, BUT HERE I AM DUE TO BUSINESS DECISIONS AND PERSONAL CHOICES THAT I'VE MADE. IT WON'T BE FOREVER, THOUGH, AND WHEN MY FINANCES IMPROVE, I WILL DEFINITELY PAY YOUR KINDNESS FORWARD. IT IS SO ADMIRABLE OF YOU TO REACH OUT TO GIVE OTHER WOMEN HOPE AND TO LET THEM KNOW THAT OTHERS CARE ABOUT THEM. JUST THAT MORNING, I SAT LOOKING AT THE SNOWFLAKES FALLING AND ASKED GOD, "WHERE ARE YOU, MY FATHER IN HEAVEN?" THEN NOT MORE THAN FIVE HOURS LATER, THE GIFT APPEARED. YOU REALLY ARE ANGELS. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
SINCERELY, R
