You meant to be discrete...

This is K, D's daughter, who just answered the door and received a gift from an angel for my mother. I'm sorry I didn't even get your name to tell my mother who you are. I could tell you meant to be discrete. She asked me to send this email to say THANK YOU and she is sorry too she doesn't know who you all are. She wanted you to know this will be paid "forward". God is working through ordinary people like each of you to show His power and majesty. We thank each of you and feel each prayer. We love each of you.

A Gesture of Kindness

Thank you does not say how overwhelmed I am by your gift to me. You are far more then ordinary but are truly extraordinary. Your gift is so totally a gesture of kindness. Your words .Your words meant so much as well. I enjoyed meeting you and sharing my library with you as it means so much to me. Bless you all! CS

It was nice to know someone was thinking of me...

Last week I had a very nice surprise from two lovely ladies. They were from an organization called “12 Ordinary Women”, which I had never heard of. They explained about their organization and how they take special gifts to people in need. I was so surprised and in shock. (This just doesn't happen to me) They handed me an envelope and it had a very nice letter in it along with a gift card. I am very grateful to the Evansville, IN chapter for them thinking of me during my time of need. (My husband had a massive stroke 7 months ago). The last seven months my days have been spent taking care of everyone else and a lot of medical issues; it was nice to know that someone was thinking of me. Your generosity and thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! God Bless your organization.

12OW of Franklin, TN Your thoughtfulness and gifts will always hold special, tender meaning for me.

To me...you are 12 EXTRAordinary Women! I hardly have words for the emotions I felt when I was unexpectedly handed an envelope by a woman in sunglasses at my front door. I don't know who brought the gift, but I do know that it came from a special place in your hearts.

Your generous gift of cash, a silver necklace of "hope" and a crocheted cross all traveled with me to Haiti to meet our son for the first time. I have worn the necklace everyday. We used the cash toward many expenses in Haiti, and I carried the cross with me everywhere we went.

Our goal of appearing in three different courts in Haiti was met. Our travel was safe despite some very unnerving moments, and our sweet boy melted our hearts. We can't bring him home soon enough, and it was so difficult to have to leave him.

Your thoughtfulness and gifts will always hold special, tender meaning for me. I literally was speechless when I opened the envelope, and I was deeply humbled to be on the receiving end of such kindness and generosity.

Thank you all again and thank you for touching the lives of people everywhere!

You remain EXTRAordinary to me!

Evansville, IN your heartfelt surprise made my day!

Yesterday, two ladies came to my house with an unexpected, wonderful surprise. They spoke to me about my husbands sudden passing and explained who they were and why they were sent to me. They explained about their organization and how they brings gifts of comfort to people in need. I was surprised and so grateful for the gift of two gift cards for my daughter and I to share some time together. It was such a wonderful and heartful surprise that made my day. To know that there is an organization such as yours that reaches out to help so many people is amazing. I just wanted to thank the Evansville, IN chapter for their thoughfulness and generosity to my daughter and I during this very difficult time. Thank you again so much and may God bless you all and your wonderful organization!

Thank you 12 Ordinary Women of Gernantown, TN

God’s timing is always just when you need it. I want to thank the 12 Ordinary Women of Germantown, TN for the book and generous gift. My employer has been having financial trouble. Since January our pay checks have bounced or been late every pay period. Today 6/3 is payday and we were told this morning that it would be later in the week before we get our checks because they didn’t have enough to cover all of them. This afternoon I get a call from the 12 Ordinary Women of Germantown (who I have never heard of). Then a delivery with their generous gift and a wonderful book. With this gift and what I had saved, I will be able to pay my rent on time. God has been blessing me extremely and I just can’t describe how humble and unworthy I feel. Continuing to pray for a new job - I know it will come in HIS timing.

THANK YOU GOD & THANK YOU LADIES!!!

Thank you Eden Prairie MN 12OW

Thanks to the wonderful group of ladies that send my kids and I sweet package of fun events. I live in Eden Prairie / Minnetonka, MN area. My J & J and friends or myself will will enjoy the trapoline park passes plus the pass to the new adventure center for kids nearby. There is stress being a single parent but I am reminded that this parenting role (spending quality time with our kids) is the most important job we actually have. Blessings to those who blessed our family. Thanks. C K.

Gratitude

I opened my door yestereday to the warmest smile I have ever seen. The beautiful lady behind it gave me a book and a card. I have read Proof of Heaven, enjoyed it, gave it to my sister and she passed it on to a friend. Now I realize it came back to me. I will reread it and this one is my treasure that I will keep forever. The card held a mound of cash--what a surprise and what a blessing. Cancer is a costly disease, even with insurance and this will help us so much. Thank you. I am grateful for the book and the money, but even more grateful for someone nominating me and being selected for your gifts.. I feel so special today, so loved, so not alone in this journey because I know somebody out there cares about me and that, my anonymous friends, is priceless. The heartstrings that connect us will always be present and even though I don't know who you are, I love you.

Thank you again. J M

12OW helps The Nicole Daune Jackson Foundation in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

I can't seem to find the correct words to express my gratitude and thanks to those who mailed me money for our foundation. I had never even heard of your organization, but am so impressed with your mission. I just read some of the blogs written about the wonderful things you do. In my mind, you are NOT 12 Ordinary Women, you ARE 12 Amazing Women! My name is Ellen Jackson, I am the Chairperson of The Nicole Daune Jackson Foundation, located in Crystal Lake, Illinois. We hold Camp Coley, a weekend 2 day camp for girls ages 11 to 15, and 3 other events throughout the year. We promote a positive sense of self, self confidence, self esteem, leadership and teambuilding skills. Camp Coley day one theme is "All About Me", day two theme is "About Others". On camp day two we do a service project of some sort, since the day is dedicated to "About Others". However one of our yearly events is dedicated to an ongoing service project, which involves recycling used, commercial greeting cards and making them into new greeting cards, then donating them to a local retirement village. The generous donation given by you to us will be dedicated towards purchasing more card stock, envelopes and supplies for this endeavor. Thank you for enriching the lives of these awesome young girls while also helping the senior citizens in our community. This June, at Camp Coley information on your organization will be a topic of discussion on day two "About Others". I don't know how you heard about us, but I am now honored to know about you. Again, thank you so very, very much. Sincerely, Ellen C. Jackson, Crystal Lake, Illinois
