11/15 Chandler Az thank you

My name is Gini Larsen and I am the director of Biblical Hope Counseling in Gilbert/Chandler Arizona. I am writing to express my deepest appreciation for the scholarship money that was donated to our office. A group of "12 Ordinary Women" here in the East Valley donated funds to help low-income women and girls recieve biblical counseling at our office. The women you have scholarshipped had many spiritual and emotional needs and were not able to afford their sessions. Since the money was donated, here are some examples of women we have been able to assist:
-A 72 year old woman struggling with depression who lives on her Social Security.
-A woman just coming to grips with a difficult decision she made 20 years ago to end a pregnancy.
-A young mother experiencing post-partum depression.
-And, a victim of domestic voilence who was afraid to tell her boyfriend she wanted to see a counselor.
Thank-you on behalf of each of these women. Our office is able to keep our fees low ($50 per session hour) because of the generous gifts of women like you. You have given from your hearts to assist others. We are humbled and grateful for your support. Each of our counselors also have jobs that we do during the daytime. We are committed to this office as a ministry. We have been here for nine years operating in the commmunity thanks to the generous gifts of people like you. May the Lord bless your efforts.
Many thanks.

11/15 You are extraordinary women

I cannot begin to tell you how surprised and humbled I was to receive the check in the mail. I am guessing that my sister and 11 other women are behind his due to the return address.
You are kind an generous people. I am clearly having financial struggles since going out on disability. This money is a godsend for me. It is tough to accept my situation but this kindness is extraordinary. I cannot even decide which of the things I need to pay for that I should use it for.
I think you should be called 12 Extraordinary Women.
Thank you doesn’t seem like enough, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks for some hopefulness on a kind of tough day. You ladies need some hugs. Thank you so much.

Nan

11/14 humbled and honored

Wow! I am humbled and honored to have received such a gracious gift basket filled with surprises from your organization. My family welcomed a precious little girl into our life this past January and our life has truly been rocked in many ways. Our darling little baby has a congenital heart defect and we spend a lot of our time in the hospital and at various appointments. We feel incredibly blessed to have been entrusted to be parents to this miracle baby and have worked extremely hard to focus on maintaining a happy and stress-free image for those around us. My husband and I do our best to keep the details of appointments and conversations with our daughter's team private but at the same time are doing our best to use her diagnosis and life as a voice to spread awareness about CHDs. We want to help spread awareness so more people come to understand the severity and seriousness of what a life with a CHD can look like. We have come to accept a life full of doctors appointments and hospital stays but also are quickly learning how to live life to the absolute fullest and modeling for our precious daughter how to not take anything for granted. Our daughter should grow to live a relatively normal life aside from her appointments and heart procedures and we hope to teacher how to not let her CHD hold her back. To come home to such a sweet surprise was a welcomed reminder of how wonderful this world is. We continue to see the good around us and plan to pass along a good deed in honor of 12 Ordinary Women. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for such a wonderful surprise!  Michaela

11/13 Thank you seems so inadequate

Dear 12 Ordinary Women,
Thank you seems so inadequate, but it's all I have to offer you. The way you gently walked into our story with your gift last fall was beautiful. Our family's loss was so great, but your care and kindness was a blessing.
Thank you.

10/29 Stunned!!!

I was stunned yesterday--but oh, so pleased--to find a 12 Ordinary Women gift bag at my door! I had known of your organization because one of my dear friends had been blessed by 12OW a couple of years back, but now me being chosen to be the one blessed? Wow! Thank you, LORD! (And an interesting note: the very day the bag was delivered, I was at the wedding of the son of that dear friend.)

It has been eight months since my sweet husband passed away (with some very challenging times during the years before that). But my family, friends, and God's people have been taking good care of me in many foundational--and creative--ways, and I can only view these blessings as an earthly manifestation of God's grace to me--undeserved, but nonetheless poured out.

The gifts inside revealed that at least one of this group of 12 wonderful women knows what brings me huge joy, and that is MUSIC! I am so excited to use the extravagant gift certificate.

Thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being the hands and feet of Jesus. This "whipping cream on the top" gift aligns with the way Jesus not only took care of people's needs, but brought them unexpected and delightful joys.

May God bless you 12 wonderful women! In Christ's love, Linda

10/27 One day you walked into my world...

I cannot express to all how grateful I am that one day you walked into my world that seemed to be crashing down around me while I was trying to pretend that everything was ok and your visit and gift of generosity and love lifted my world a lot higher. Knowing there is a group of women (some Mothers some not )that would take time from their everyday life's and pray for my grief and send support to a Mother who lost her only child. This THANKYOU from the bottom of my heart is long overdue, the reality of David not being here on this Earth is really becoming a stronger reality everyday. The Peace I have within my soul is knowing David is with our Lord and is without pain or worry anymore.GOD Love to 12 not so Ordinary women.  Joann

10/25 Thank you for the necklace

To the organization of 12 ordinarywomen, I would like to thank you for the wonderful gift of the book " Jesus is Calling" and the beautiful necklace with my beloved Marvelous Marvin's name on it....I will treasure it always! I am not sure who you are but you must be a little more than ordinary and full of grace and love and compassion. THank you for making my day ordinary day extra special and for your love and prayers.
