Our kids were out raking leaves when a husband and wife that we did not recognice pulled up. I was in my PJs, cleaning, and did not come to the door (so sorry!). We have been blessed with several amazing meals. Everything looks and smells sooo good! Our oldest daughter has been battling a yet undiagnosed illness for 10 mths, now. She has flare ups that come and go every 2-4 weeks and make her very sick. She has missed out on a lot over the last year. We have had a lot of drs. appointments, tests and ER visits. My husband also had 3 surgeries over the last year, as well. Our son is on the autism spectrum and raising him is trying (rewarding, but trying.) So, it's been a difficult year for us. To know that there are good people out there who genuinely care, love us and want to offer support and help means so much. Thank you to whoever did this for us. You are a blessing and I hope God blesses you one-hundred fold. I would love to get involved with your organization here in York, PA but I don't know who to contact! If you see this , please let me know :) Thank you and God bless you! Love, Ann Marie

Thank you for the lovely bracelet ... most of all thank you for your prayers for my family. I will always keep
Doug close in my heart and remember all the wonderful memories I have of him. Doug was a wonderful son, brother, husband and father. I am so broken hearted and pray that
Doug is at peace.
To 12 Ordinary Women I appreciate your prayers and kindness at this most difficult time.
Sincerely,
Lee

2018 has been a very hard year for me. I’m 38 years old fighting Grade 3 Brain Cancer. Its a terminal illness and so far none of the existing treatment options work. After my diagnosis in 2015 I underwent two brain surgeries and hoped to be ok for a while. Unfortunately the cancer came back sooner than expected and this January I received 7.5 weeks of chemotherapy and Proton Beam Treatment at Orlando Health. A grueling process. From there things started spiraling even more…my long time boyfriend was hospitalized and put on 6 months disability for a heart condition, and by the time July rolled around we had 2 very dear family members pass away, one being my brother in law at 37 years old. Followed by a break up with my boyfriend in September and a move out of our home…this year hasn’t been easy.
Now I’m starting a whole new life, living on my own again, trying to stay consistent with my yoga practice & teaching classes, eating healthy and committed to a healthy lifestyle. All of these things take effort and are expensive. So this weekend I went to Kula Yoga where I teach and was so delighted to find a gift card to Amazon from 12 Ordinary Women. What a fun treat that brings a huge smile to my face! Sometimes we are not aware of all the challenges we face in our everyday life, so a kind gesture like this means more than you could possibly imagine. Thank you for the gift, it means so much to me. In good health, Amanda

It was a long and very busy October for our family. Every day was packed with plans. Every year in October we just always seem to skip right past our anniversary because it falls on a busy time of the year for us with all the events and things going on. Also every year around this time we get a new health insurance plan that always changes and goes up for us. It is a huge stress because our oldest son deals with so many insurance things due to a health condition. Kind of a depressing month for myself personally even though I love the Fall season. We tend to stay home to celebrate special occasions like our anniversary. But not this year. Right on the first Friday of October, a beautiful lady came to my door just as I was about to leave and blessed me with a big basket of goodies along with some gift cards. I was in shock and had no idea what I had done to receive such a gift basket full of many gift cards and things. So after a long day watching my youngest play in a soccer tournament and I had family with us, we all went out for pizza for our 16th wedding anniversary to a place we had never been before called Oregano’s. I am not sure who to thank. I also have so many more gift cards to use. I have something to look forward to now and focus on something besides what to pay for next. You ladies have no idea how much you blessed me. Your timing is amazing! First time in a long time I have felt free this time of the year. THANK YOU!

First of all, I would like to thank you for showing your compassion to my niece after she lost her husband in a tragic car accident. She received a wonderful basket from you and found you to be very comforting.
Secondly, I am interested in your organization and helping with this.

I was sitting at my desk at work and someone said there is someone here to see you. I went to the front and did not recognize the lady sitting there waiting for me. She handed me a large bag and a card and said "you are blessed". I looked at her like deer in head lights. When I opened the card alone, I began to cry. I am not sure who sent this precious gift but Thank you. It made my day. Although I do not feel hope, bravery or strength most days, I did today with this token of love given to me.

8 months ago our life changed in a blink of an eye when our vehicle was hit by a drunk driver while on the way home from my son's hockey game. It’s amazing how light and hope can be found even in the darkest of moments especially when you have so much love and support of all the wonderful people around you! Time and time again over the last 8 months our hearts have been touched by the amazing love and support we have been given from everyone. On Oct 2nd 2018 we were shown the kindness of people again when 2 ladies stopped by my work with a surprise basket of Wild gear, goodies, money and a signed stick for my son! I was speechless and brought to tears by the thoughtfulness of this gift...Westen was beyond excited and his day, week, year was made :) These random acts of kindness continue to show us how caring people can be and helps us to keep looking up and at the bright side of things! Thank you so much!
